1. Voltage stress
The power supply voltage stress is an important index to ensure the reliability of the power supply. Many components in the power supply have specified maximum withstand voltage values, such as diode reverse withstand voltage, IC maximum withstand voltage, and maximum withstand voltage input and output capacitors. So we must consider the maximum voltage that the device can withstand when designing. And select the appropriate device according to the voltage, and then carry out the actual test verification.

3. Protection circuit
The protection circuit has specific input under-voltage protection, input and output over-voltage protection, over-current protection, output short-circuit protection and output over-voltage protection. In order to avoid power supply, when the input voltage is too low, abnormal operation occurs, the power supply needs to add input under-voltage protection; to avoid the input voltage is too high, so during the over-voltage stress period, the power supply is equipped with input over-voltage protection; to avoid output Overheating and short-circuit may cause magnetic saturation of the device. The power supply needs to add over-current protection and short-circuit protection; in order to avoid excessive output voltage of the power supply causing damage to the power supply load, the power supply needs to add output over-voltage protection.
